Advanced Classes

This is NOT a beginner class.

You must be very familiar with your pistol and rifle and know how to operate them safely around other people. We focus on self defense with a rifle and pistol inside 50 yards under white light. There is a lot of movement in this class, it is outside, it is held in the evening and it is a LOT of fun. This class is only held during winter months due to shorter sunlight hours. Cost is $300 per person.

• Marksmanship at close distance
• Using a handheld light for searching
• Using handheld / WML for shooting
• Malfunction clearing in the dark
• Shooting from cover while using a light
• Shooting while moving in the dark
• Reflexive fire with lights
• Gun Yoga (VTAC Barricade under white light)
• Approximately 6 hours

Equipment required:

Food and water

Eye and ear protection

Quality handheld flashlight

Quality weapon mounted light for each weapon

AR15 / AK47 or similar type rifle

Semi-auto pistol in good condition

Sling for your rifle

Quality holster (No Serpa or cheap nylon holsters)

Magazine pouch(es) or pants capable of holding magazines

300 rounds of rifle ammunition (No green tip M855 or armor piercing ammo)

300 rounds of pistol ammunition

Equipment recommended:

Parts and batteries for your rifle / pistol / optics

Extra batteries for lights

Headlamp

Plate carriers / battle belts are welcome

Shooting gloves

Knee pads

Hand warmers / battery powered clothing

Rain gear

Towels for drying self and equipment

This class is outdoors, so dress appropriately

The class will continue regardless of weather. We do have a propane heater, but it gets very cold and wet in some classes.

We focus on self defense with a rifle and pistol inside 100 yards. If you cannot demonstrate safe firearms handling skills, you will not be allowed to shoot and will not receive a refund. This is a "big boy" class, so you should be very proficient with your firearms before signing up. The class is outdoors, but there is a covered area. Cost is $300 per person.
